I have some doubt whether it will work or not...
They use 220V at 50 Hz so it is recommended that you purchase a transformer to change the voltage down from 220V to 110V so you can plug in your tv. That's part one...the easy part.
Also, I believe that they use PAL where we use NTSCV...I think those are the letters. PAL uses more lines on the screen and scans more often then the North American counter part.
Maybe your TV will work but I am sure that the colour and the clarity would not be the same unless you purchased one locally. I think as long as you have the electrical outlet converter they should. there are two issues u will need to take care of
1. voltage difference between canada and UK - this can be resolved by using a good converter to convert the voltage.
2 format differnce in the video - PAL and NTSC. I believe uk uses PAL whereas canada uses NTSC. U could buy PAL <---> NTSC converters on ebay or other websites online. However, I am not sure if the picture quality will be compromised.
