Depends, but I would guess not. I think you will have some problems unless you live very close to the transmitter.
You should consider saving up for a proper , digital aerial. They aren't so expensive. Depends how far away you are from the transmitter.
Digital signals are at a lower power level than old analogue ones but I am believe they will boost the signal when switchover occurs.
It would be better to have an outdoor antenna though only if you have a freeview box ,i got freeviews for 3 tvs in my house only thing i found the inside aerial isnt a great picture ,if you have freeview now and getting pictures ok it will just be the same in march maybe even better picture.
Tescos have freeview box for ￡25 and it not a bad one if you cant get a good picture with your aerial an electric one is brill ive got that from argos for ￡19.99 and pictures great . 'They' are not switching to digital in March!
The digital switchover will not happen for at least 3-5 years. you will need a digital box but the signal from the portable aerial will be too weak.
an outdoor rooftop aerial is a must. In Feb 2009 the over the air analog signals will be cutt off.
Right now they are simultaneously transmitting in both.
Digital and Analog. But you need the digital tuner to pick it up.
If you can pick up analog signals well, then you will have no problem picking up digital. You dont need that much signal as analog does.
And a regular antenna will pick up digital also. yes providing you have something to accept the digital signal. be ready , get a freeview box now
