why is my samsung slimfit HD TV not as good as my other LCD tv who is NOT HD?
i have a 27 inch samsung slimfit tube tv it puts out 1080i, when i play my xbox 360 it seems that the picture sucks compared to my 15i inch LCD tv that isnt hidef at all it only puts out 480? whats the deal is my new tv bad or is it just bc its a tube and lcd's are better over all?

LCDs can usually produce a sharper picture than a tube tv. this can usually be noticed around text
LCD can't (yet) produce true black because of the backlight they use
most LCDs cannot produce a true HD picture(pixel for pixel, all 2 million of them), unless they are very large, larger than 30"
make sure your xbox360 is set to 1080i or 1080p(p probably won't work)
use component cables(red,blue,green) not composite(yellow)
the thing is .... if you display a low resolution picture on a HDTV... it will show you how bad the original image is... it's not necessarily the tv being crappy.
all xbox360 games are suppost to be1080i, not the same for some live! arcade games Try the following checklist:
1) Are you using an HDMI cable to connect your XBOX 360 to the TV? ( HDMI provides the best picture quality)
2) Is the video output from your XBOX 360 set to 1080i?
3) Does the game you are playing support 1080i resolution?
4) Have you adjusted the picture settings on your TV ( default settings can give poor picture quality) ?
If you still have the problem, search for your TV model at a tech review site such as www.cnet.com. You should find some answers there.
