not only in india, sony now only make LCD TV for the world market, they withdrawn from the plasma market all together as they see the future technology will develop within LCD and not plasma (due to cost) Sony was never a leader in plasma displays, and some of their earlier models had problems. Sony is concentrating on LCD and especially their SXRD projectors which compete very favorably with plasmas.
