why does my tv turn black?
i have owned 2 difrent tv's in the last 7 yrs..they work great up until the screen start turning black..everything on tv is dark..nothin i can do can fix it and all video games are the same...now my current tv is doing the same..why does it do it?

It's probably not mere chance that this is happening. I would start looking at the placement of the set. Was the problem with your sets the same? Are there strong magnetic and/or electrical fields present? Is there a lot of moisture around? Are "critters" getting in there and setting up residence? Is the set getting a good supply of air both below and above? Is the line voltage in your place clean? sorry was trying something else. wait i read it now, are the older tvs with tubes. if so its that, tvs do not last as long as they used too, mostly wal-mart, and k-mart specials
