why do smaller size LCD TV's have the same native resolution as larger LCD TV's?
I'm no newbie when it comes to TV technologies, but one thing that's puzzled me is the resolutions of LCD TV's (or any other type of TV). More specifically, how can 37'', 45'', and 50'' HDTV's have the same resolution (1366x768) as my 26'' Sharp LDC HDTV? Doesn't the resolution, when multiplied together, just give you the total pixel count of your TV (I could be wrong with this)? If that's true, how can bigger TV's have the same pixel count as smaller ones? I can understand if the resolution from a 26'' versus a 37'' might stay the same, but how can a 45'' TV have the same resolution as the 26'' one? Are the pixels bigger in those larger TV's? Because when you look at COMPUTER monitors, usually when you go up in size, you also get a higher resolution. Why is this not the case for TV's? I'm quite curious.

The resolution has nothing to do with the size. I has to do with how many pixels they have in the screen. The Pixels are larger on a bigger TV.
