Will the HDDVD players work on a regular TV?
I do not have an HD tv and am considering buying a HDDVD add on for the xbox 360, will it be any better, and should I upgrade all my dvds to HdDVDs now. Do I Need a HDTV?

you will need a TV with hdmi connection, often referred to as hd ready. yes your regular tv will work with the hd dvd player but you will not get the added benifits from using it, hd dvd players are for high resolution t.v. 's ... but the problem is that x-box 360 does not have hdmi hook ups on it so getting it put into your 360 is pointless...... Save your money for now. Wait until you can afford to get an HD TV. The price for an HD DVD Player will continue to go down. You don't need an HDTV to hook up the HD DVD add on for the xbox 360. It connects to the XBox and the xbox connects to the TV. The best resolution you can get on it right now is 720P so technically you don't need HDMI you just need to go through the connection you have right now. But hold off anyway for now in a few months I'm sure you will see them drop in price. HOld on to your old DVD's upgrading them even if you had an HDTV wouldn't be worth the cost as you'r current XBOX is alreayd upconverting your current DVD to 720P and you would only see a marginal difference between the Native 720P of HD-DVD and the upconverted DVD's.
