Depends on the signal being captured. If it is DVD or a SD television signal you won't see any difference at all. It will be the same. If it is HD you will notice the difference, but only if you'd see them side by side. It may be subtle, but you need to go with 1080 yeah 1080p is so clear you will notice, if the sets are side by side... 1080i you won't notice a difference..
