plasma screen tv's are junk ..... yes they may be a lil cheaper ... but ya get what ya pay 4
if you happen 2 crack the screen on any way .... u know moving ... or if a lil kid happens 2 toss a toy at the screen.... or even if in 2-3 years down the road the plasma starts 2 fade the color it can not be repaired ... u most get a new one ....
with a lcd tv if it gets cracked it can be repaired .... or u can replace the screen and not have 2 trash the whole unit ......
plasma will fade out over time .... due to the release or useage of the gas in the tv
LCD is the way 2 go for the money ....... is the same thing Try going with the DLP. It has great HD pic, and regular TV doesn't look bad at all. Also, I recently found out that plasmas need to be recharged (apparently the gas inside wears out or something) in about 5 years and that service can cost almost a grand, depending on your tv. In an LCD tv, simply replacing the bulb solves picture issues. Can anyone verify this?
HOWEVER, (I dont own any kind of big screen tv) I hear the plasma picture is better. i have both PLASMA is better TRUST ME
