Which tv has the best quality LCD or DLP?

I cant figure out which one to go with. Im trying to figure out which tv will have the best quality in a bright room setting and in a dark room setting.

LCD TVs have better viewing angle than DLP TVs.

In terms of bright room vs. dark room settings, LCD is definitely better in bright rooms. In dark rooms, I don't think your eyes can discern the difference...much.

On the other hand, per inch, DLP TVs are cheaper than LCDs. Typically 50" DLP is probably similar in price to 40" LCD.

If you want to hang your TV, then go with LCD.

Of course, the TV's brand has to be accounted for some price differences. get a lcd hdtv, they are the best, and will last longer than a plasma LCD deffo, DLP tends to be alot darker than LCD so that you can't see the picture properly. But i'm not an expert.... DLP from what I understand are better in bright and dark rooms. They process the picture with a "Digital Light Processor" dlp is the personal choice i would make because lcd have what know as the screen door effect you can see the lines when up close dlp dont have those ,early models had a rainbow effect on some models but that been taken care with better color wheels and fast dlp chips In a bright room, an LCD TV can be easier to view because there usually isn't a glossy screen on them. Unfortunately, that means you are dealing with a screen that can be easily dammaged. LCDs are great if you want to hang the TV on your wall. They offer really great viewing from side to side and have a longer projected life than plasmas.
