Which television?

Okay,... the debate continues over Plasma, LCD, DLP, CRT, etc., etc....

I've concluded that without a doubt the CRT HDTV's are the best as far as image quality. The only short-comings are the size, depth, and overall weight of the damned things.

Upon searching and trying to find a decent one that I like though, the question arose as to what BRAND is the best? To which many can respond and say, "It doesn't really matter since many of them have the same components in them from the same factories."

But I figured I put the question out here and see what the responses are.

So,... regardless of what type of TV you buy, which BRAND do you prefer and why?

I perfer my 13 inch black and white tv. It is great and has the thing on the back for UHF. i would go with the plasma tv plasma tv If You Have enough Money to PURCHASE A PLASMA IF YOU DON'T LCD IS THE BEST If you can wait until the end of next year the new laser televisions will be out. Also the new SED technology is on the way giving a 100000:1 contrast ratio. The best ones out now have a10000:1 ratio samsung DLP find it to have nicer picture, and a cleaner look to it' hey i have a Sony Bravia Plasma the rule of thumb here is over 37" plasma-under this then go for an lcd as plasmas do not do justice to themselves under this size. as for who is best the common opinion is pioneer panasonic and sony but while these are fine sets you would be paying largely for the name my own set is a 42" lg hdtv. the reason i bought a korean set is because their products are becoming increasingly reliable and at the risk of sounding bias the picture in hd format on my set is astounding-certainly a match for the "better" makes out there-and cheaper to boot.
