(UK) this question is for those in the uk with indoor aerials that work best for freeview digiboxs?

I'm getting a freeview digital box tommorrow, and I woz wondering what's the best indoor aerial that i can get for my freeview box, i know that the outdoor ones are the best but i jus need an indoor aerial that can work best for my freeview, which ones do u suggest i should get.

You need to know how close you are to your nearest TV transmitting mast.

If it's close by then most indoor aerials will give you something but maybe not everything especially if they are the set-top ones. If you can get into the loft then this is a better bet but still not guaranteed.

Some indoor aerial have amplifiers built inside but if you are getting mush in the first place - you get even more mush when with the ampifier.

This is why a roof aerial is always the best option followed by a loft aerial and lastly the set-top aerial. You really need to know how far you are from your local transmitter.

You could buy a range of indoor aerials and you'd simply be wasting money.

Contact the local TV sales shop and ask them. Or ask them to recommend an aerial installation company who can help. They should be able to guarantee a signal with an indoor aerial or you won't have to pay.

Honestly, outdoor aerials are far superior, line of sight and are high enough not to be affected by houses or buildings between you and the transmitter... As long as it's an outdoor ariel their shouldn't be that much of a problem mate. out door ariel is best point it at transmitter.same way as the rest of ariels in the street.
