After a loud thunder, my flat screen TV turn off and doesnt turn back on, what happened?
I want to know if it'll be simple to fix or should I buy a new one? Warranty finished, and I also want to know if its possible the TV could have a blown fuse, or if its gonna cost me more than its worth? Please help!! I need a helpful answer!

If it wasn't plugged in to a surge protector it probably got fried by the lightning. Have someone give you an estimate on how much it will cost to have it repaired. Most places will give free estimates. If you have it plugged into a surge protector, it could be that the protection circuit tripped. Try resetting the switch on the surge protector. If that doesn't work, try plugging the TV directly into the wall outlet to see if it still works. If it works after plugging it directly into the wall outlet, but not in the surge protector after resetting the protection circuit, then your surge protector has stopped working. If you have the tv hanging on the wall the thunder could've shook the walls causing something to jar loose. My bet would be take it to a shop. If your house was struck my lighning chances are it could of blown a fuse. The guy up above us girls has the right answer for you.
