i dont know about that number, in london. to call another london fone, u dial 8111 1111 (111 1111 is an example) From else where in the uk, its 020 8111 1111, international its +44 (0)20 8111 1111

the + means the international code, no need 2 type that on ur fone. (0) if ur in that country. In websites, its probably 2 make it easier to understand..... yes. Yes. I don't know about the ~ sign, but I know that for me anyway, the + is for abbreviation on a mobile phone.

for instance if you put somebodys internation number into your mobile, you put + instead of the usual 00 prefix. So, for calling England from Ireland, instead of 0044 for the country code you put in +44. It's just a little quicker. And so when ever I see the + I see it as a double zero.

I have never seen a number like you have given as an example. I have only seen things like +44 (0)275 3456789.

Or, an Italian number, +39 3456 2948989.

I have never seen a + in the middle though. This sounds to me like a mis type or similar on someones part most international numbers from most countries stat 00 then the country code the + prefix just replaces it on mobile phones the + sign is recognized by your mobile as a start of international number
