What sorts of charges are Vonage customers getting?
I'm looking at changing phone and fax service over to Vonage from the company I'm using now. Extra charges are killing me by adding another $50 a month to the bill. To all the Vonage users out there, does Vonage have a lot of those extra charges as well or are they fairly moderate in that area?

I have had the service for almost a year. I love it. At first sign up, there was a charge for the box, but since then, it's been a flat fee in the low $20s. There are additional fees for extra services. I think and additional line for fax is like $2 - $5. But my price has never changed. Also I have unlimited service though out US, Canada, Mexico, Europe. No extra fees. No matter where or when or how long I call.
My only warning or complaint (not against Vonage) is that you are reliant on the quality of you ISP. My cable company provides my Internet service. It's happened about twice this year that my Internet service was down for a few hours, which means no phone. No electricity means no phone. no, all you pay is one rate...no surprises...and all those calling features....I send you a link first to check out all void services..I got Pcket8 for a year now, and never had any problems..I pay $19.00 +$1.50 and $1.99 for E911
