I got the whole house Uniden, and I love it...its has so many good features....but Panasonic is made by Uniden.... It's really a matter of personal preference. I have tried MANY of the cordless phones, even the ones that taunt 'extended range' digital spread-spectrum technology. They all run very low power, basically all have the same 'guts', and have not found any that have any better range than my Panasonic 2.4 Ghz. cordless. Even most ALL of the 5.8 Ghz. phones do NOT have extended range, and use 5.8 for the phone, and 2.4 at the base station!! All the hype of 5.8 is a joke. Actually the higher the frequency, the less range in most ANY communications equipment. I have never seen a 5.8 phone that beat the range of my 2.4 hands down!
