Can anyone help me? Were thinking of buying a new landline phone...?
We want a cordless one with an answering machine for down stairs in the living room and that will plug into the white cabley plug thing (sorry not good with all this stuff) But we also want one to go upstairs. So we would buy a twin set...but does that other handset have to be plugged into the white cabley plug thing (sorry again) or not? Because we dont have one upstairs? Thank you! =]

I have a phone with three extensions. The only one you need put in to the 'white cably thing' is handset 1, which has the answerphone, the other two or three only need to be plugged into a electric socket, wherever you decide you need them the most. I have one in the kitchen, one in the lounge and one in the bedroom No, the second one only needs a stand, which is the charger. I've got one sitting next to me. I have a Philips cordless...Downstairs is plugged into the mains AND the white cabley plug thing.upstairs is plugged into the mains only (it is just for charging your phone) you do not need a white cabley plug thing upstairs. one of the best phones are on the market right now..are the DECT6.0 Panasonic...!
