Bt broadband dial up every 5minutes disconnection help!?
this happens to my friend.
does anyone know how to fix the problem? his broadband disconnects every 5minutes apparently, well this is what he said:
"My internet is a bt broaband dial up.. and like every 5mins it will disconnect (well the disconnection seems to be random) but them i will re-dail and it will say "PPP link terminated or w/e" then i re-dail again and it connects to internet.. thnwill dc 5mins later..."

I had the same problem...after 5 mins of being logged in, if I didn't click on the home page of my dial-up connection it considered the connection idle and was disconnected. Now I have high speed cable ethernet, no more disconnections.
Yay! Nobody has anything good to say about BT broadband. Try Sky
