Vonage is not really the cheapest in VoIP ( broadband) phones...sunrocket is much cheaper.but before you do anything.check your this website...there have a forum where ppl post there"real" cost to have a VoIP phone...

I got Packet8 and my bill is 24.56 a month...for E911 fee.tax...state and local...now...everyone wants a tax now.that might be the only "hidden" fee...
free long distance, 6 European countries for free, the features are great! No traditional 911 service. Vonage is not expensive, i have it for 2 years already.
it offers everything for that same price, u pay the same price monthly. i never had problems with the service, i am able to use everything they offer. Vonage isnt all that great. We had to get it because the local telephone company said our address "didn't exist" we had to spend 150 just in hardware so we could share our internet throughout the house. then had to pay 50 for activation. and when you are downloading music or anything the quality is very bad. you can hear the person on the other end but they cant hear anything you say. the only good thing about vonage is you can call ANYONE who has vonage for free and also have free long distance calling in the U.S and Canada and it comes with alot of features ..but its not worth the hassle and trouble.
