I would buy it if it were 30 gig not 600 bucks and I could use it with sprint apple???..yummy :) if this is a phone that is an ipod mixed with a cell, it might be cool. But there already are a lot of phones that are a cell+ mp3 player of some sort. I already have an ipod so i dont really see the point. unless your ritch.. than you can buy it becuase it doesn't matter. I just think it might be a waste of money for ppl who alreadfy have ipods Right now I can't afford a phone nevermind the iphone. ;-) it looks stunning. Well it looked very slick in the demo (see here) http://news.bbc.co.uk/nolavconsole/ukfs_... but it sounds like it will be expensive ..if you're an apple fan you'll probably get one...me, well I'm not sure, there is a lot of competition in the mobile/cell phone market. yeah if its not like a brick If it was $200 and compatible with Sprint. As of now, it doesn't look like it will be available with my provider. I'm not too bummed about it. I think it looks cool, but I'm not willing to switch to a new company just to have one. I can wait. Yes I would. I have used the Kyocera smartphone original and smaller updated version. I am currently using a Verizon PPC6700. I like one unit that replaces my phone, watch, PDA, music player, and serves as an emergency camera.
I loved Kyocera's innovation of using the upper screen to show the time. Thus you didn't have to take it out of the holster to see what time it was -- effectively replacing a watch. What draws me to Apple's product is the innovation on the touch pad. It is a problem to use the smartphones with the touch screens (blackberry, PPC6700, Treo) as you risk activating a phone function while you hold them to your ear. My PPC6700 still phones unintentionally while it is in my pocket. I do not like the keyboard lock if it is too complicated to turn off.
The thin profile will also be welcome in a smartphone.
Pricing and real functionality will be what makes me switch.
