When will Verizon start selling the Palm Treo 750 PDA smart phone?
The Palm Treo 750 just had a retail launch last week at Cingular, but I want to know how long until Verizon will be selling the phone.

It usually takes Palm about 6-9 months to release all versions of a new Treo phone. It might be released on Sprint before Verizon, but a Sprint version could work on Verizon's network. Also expect to see a Treo 750p version that runs the Palm operating system. Very likely never. The 750 is built for Cingular's network, while the 700w is built for Verizon's. The next Treo phone you see from Verizon will likely be a significant version upgrade.
The good news is that, honestly, the differences between the 750 and 700 are a slight form-factor shrinkage and 1/2 oz. in weight. Not really worth spending another $100.... I too, want to know the answer to this. I disagree with the other posting. The 750 offers way more features than the 700. It has a considerably better camera and software GUI. I just saw today that the 700w is out-of-stock on Verizon's website. To me, a marketing guy, that means the 750 can not be far away from being available. The 700P will probably stay-put since it is Palm OS, and not Windows-based. But, the 750 will likely replace the 700W b/c of its Windows platform. I suspect that we'll see it available in a matter of weeks not months. Verizon will not sell old-technology (700W) when its competitors already offer it.
