Y do i have an excessive amount of electricty running through my rg 6 cable wiring. my receivers r f
Up until last week all was fine, Then a receiver went, trying to figure it why, i received a massive electrical shock (a shock that shouldnt be coming through a cable wire). I am suspecting this high electrical current is causing grief for my receivers. All wiring is away from electrical sources. What could be causing this electricity anamoly.

If the RG-6 is away from all other electrical sources there is only one point left. When the dish or cable drop was installed, it was grounded where it came into your home. If the ground is bad, this could be the source of your voltage. Have a qualified person check it out. If you have a multimeter, I'd recommend checking what the voltage is. Chances are, if you're getting shocked there's a serious problem with the source of your signal... bad ground, faulty insulation, short in the wiring, etc.
