Why won't my Dish Network DVR let me program more event timers than 41, 32, 12, 20, or 23?
Wierd question, I know. We tried to program another event timer, and got an error message (#041), saying all our event timers were full and we'd have to cancel one before we could add one. We had, I think, 41 timers. So we canx a few. It still wouldn't let us. We canx a few more. Tech support ran me through some checks and I wound up wiping the hard drive slick. But she said the problem was fixed. So we had to input all those timers again. But when we got to 12--surprise!--it said we were full again. Tech Support sent us a new dvr. This one stopped us at 20. T.S. said that the dvr will not let us exceed 100 hours in our event timers! (I guess they think we are too stupid to delete.) We tried again, and the dvr let us program 3 more timers. We talked to two different TS's who both said the same thing. Finally, she said she would report it to the engineers and send us another dvr. I feel like we've gone into the Twilight Zone. This is just weird.
