Why is AM Radio reception so bad indoors?
Answer:
If you have a relatively good signal outside your house and a dramatic difference when you move inside, there's likely something within the construction of your house that is affecting the AM signal.
Any metal that stands between you and the transmitter will cause a drop in signal strength, so homes with metal roofs or aluminum siding can cause problems with your reception.
Hope this helps! Maybe where you are, the signald are blocked or deflected somehow. It works great in my area.
