Why is the IPHONE so expensive?...$600 with ONLY 8 gigs?! AND you're stuck w/ 2 yrs. of Cingular

With the $200 carriers usually discount on phones with a two year contract...The iphone is actually $800.00!...I think the phone should have at least 30 gigs, a video camera with light/flash, sell for $399 and require only a 1 year contract (or no contract...Cingular should be content with all the new business they would get...and you know the're going to charge more than $50/mo just for the data/messaging plan alone) Is apple getting greedy?

I kno its mad costly but i actually found a site that's offereing cheaper ones. if you put in your zip code at http://doiop.com/myiphone , they'll give you info on shipments and quantity of iphones at the stores Of course Apple and Cingular are getting greedy.

But look at it this way. If you get an 8 GB iPod, it'll run you $250. A really nice smart phone, like a Treo, will run you anywhere from $300-500. You're getting it all in one. It's still expensive, but I guess it's fairly justified.

I do, however, agree with what you're saying. Things seem overpriced nowadays. If you wait about 6-7 months, I'm sure you'll see a slight price drop. After a year, huge price drop. Theres a old saying "you get what you pay for" when the razor came out it was $500 bucks ...it doesnt even do half of what the iPhone does you can pre order a iPhone at www.iphoneware.com there are ready selling the iphone in canada
