Why does my Tmobile Razr say Cingular in the upper left corner?
I just switched to Tmobile right after Christmas. I had had it up to HERE with Nextel. But, maybe I've never paid attention, but today I noticed on the inside (when opened) the phone says Cingular in the upper left corner and while open the screen on the outside does say Tmobile... what is up with that?
Answer:
pretty easy..the phone is a t-mobile phone so technically it's going to say t-mobile, however, the signal you're getting is from cingular (that's why it says cingular)...mmm shouldn't give you trouble unless you've got a plan with no roaming minutes... :) mmm you shouldn't worry. the manufacturer may have made a mistake when putting the name on. not a big deal, but if it really bugs you, exchange your phone, which may be a little much just for the name being messed up.
