A broken envelope icon on the sms Ive received on sony ericsson w800i, can anybody tell me whats tha

i've got a sony ericsson and i get those sometimes.

the message should look something like this:

"hey how are you, i've been (...)"

this is because the message has been broken up during the time when your phone was receiving the message or when your friend was sending the message.

this could be best they or you moved in and out of range. It means somebody's sent you a message, and part of the message has not come yet.

The missing part may come later, but if you're unlucky it'll be lost.

In any case, it means you have not received all of the intended message. That means that you have either recieved a SMS or you have tried to send one but it did not send OR you have not registered your sim card yet. That means that either theres been an error in sending/receiving the message or it's a long one and has come in more than two parts and you've only received the first part it means that the message that was sent, was not received properly. you are probably missing some of the message. hope that helps! you have only receved part of the message the same as wot other people have put is wot i would have said to
