How many people are disappointed with these new camcorders compared to the old s

I have a few old VHS camcorders that are superoir with low lighting. One is an RCA and the other is a JVC. Both are great, but they are VHS and huge in size.

Now, I have tested a few of these mini-camcorders, like the Sony HandiCam DVD and the JVC MiniDV and they all are pretty much the same catagory, on the consumer level, like my old chunky VHS camcorders, but one thing that really sucks is that these new gadgets blow goat cheese when it comes to low lighting!

I have a JVC MiniDV. It is the greatest toy I have owned, as far as camcorders. It does very well, and better than "DVD quality", yet the low lighting is sad. They have what is called Owl Mode or "Slow motion", something like that. Very choppy and blurry in that mode.|||Do your homework cuz any vhs camera does not even compare to a great miniDV camera. My father used to have some VHS camcorder, came in perfectly clear even with low lighting. But it also had a light built on it.

We recently bought a Samsung, and it is just all snow. Comes in blurry no matter how you change the settings. I guess you have to pay a high amount for a good quality camera nowadays. That samsung was $300.
