wiring whole house stereo zones?

here is my set up, I hope you can follow this:

amp 1 out to attic

splice junction in attic to

(splice 1) L room speakers

(splice 2) B room impenence matching vol control to

splice jucntion in attic

(splice 3) to B room speakers

(splice 4) to B room amp 2

This set up gives me music in L room and B room.

the B room has an amp for it's surr sound.

i am sharing the B room rear speakers with the L room music amp.

Heres my problem:

my L room amp goes into protect mode when the volume is turned up.

can i not share the music through the volume control?

is there another way to wire this?

Go to radioshack a buy a Impedence resistor its a big block hold on ill add the link it will fix your problem. Put it in line one each on Pos and Neg after the volume control before the receiver.
