if you mean u have downloaded films to the discs yourself they should play on a dvd player if the dvd player plays +R my dvd player is a - format only .(most player are + & -)
plus if you have downloaded the films yourself and they are avi they will only play on divx compatible players changing avi to other formats needs a program to convert.
Hope ive helped. sure, most retail bought dvd's are dual layer.
however, you do know you can shrink dvd movies over 4.7gb to fit on a standard dvd recordable.... dual layer dvd+r are not cheap atall. providing the player accepts the + format. Above all correct and you may need to finalise the disk too.
