why dvd players have 3 jacks in 3 differnt colors red, yellow ,white what r there use specificly?

red : Stereo audio (right)

white : Stereo audio (left)

yellow : Video

These are extra outputs from the DVD player. you could for example use the audio outs (red/white) to play CD's through a stereo system using your DVD player. You would need to connect these RCA outputs to the RCA inputs (CD or AUX [NOT PHONO!]) of your stereo. These outputs will most probably be active at the same time as the output via your SCART lead.

This type of lead is used by things like playstations as far as i know

yellow : Video Signal Those are audio connections with a composite video.

The reason they are there is because that is a standard connection found on 90 percent of TVs and video capture equipment. However it is also the second least favorable connection when it come to quality of video.

The red and white are standard stereo audio

The yellow is a composite video that sends the complete video signal over the one cable. IT produces a GOOD picture.

Your player might also have an S-video connection. Svideo splits the signal up amongst 2 paths. Those 2 paths are more efficient then 1 and you get a BETTER picture.

It might also have a component connection. This is the RED BLUE GREEN connections. It splits the signal amongst 3 paths and produces the BEST Picture from an analog connection. These are AVD (audio, video and digital) input and outputs.

Usually the one on the front is for recording out to another recorders/hi fi etc. The one at the back is usually for recording into the unit. That's the most common set up.
