why does my tv have no dust?
I have a 60" rear projection HDTV and it doesn't seem to collect any dust. I'm not complaining, just curious because the regular old CRT TV I had here collected dust on the screen like crazy. Why not this one?

the imaging tube on the rear projection tvs forces particles away from the screen while older CRT (cathode ray tube) tvs pull particles closer (if you leave a crt on for more than an hour then turn it off and wipe the screen with a cotton rag you can feel the static cling) maybe static repels it? i think its cuz of the screen. the screen just has that uh... hmm... "thing" on it that repels the dust. maybe u have it on too much! lol. TV's don't seem to attract dust on their screen cuz the energy is repelling it. CRT's attract dust electrostatically. If you could get down inside where the three projection CRTs live, you would see plenty of dust. All CRTs, whether direct view or rear projection, attract dust like crazy due to the residual static charge on the outside caused by the presence of high voltage (25 to 35 thousand volts) on the inside of them.
