who cares no one even uses 7.1 right now i have a onkyo 7.1 reciever and i only use 5.1 i havent seen many people who even use 6.1 well i install alot of Denon 7.1 receivers and a common thing to make the B speakers a second zone.
8.1 is useless only big big movies are in 7.1 such as some of the remastered star wars and other big tiles
5.1 or 6.1 is adequate 8.1 in an average home is going to pointless and absurd. Not many movies are in 6.1 (I think Gladiator is the only one I can think of off the top of my head) and now Blu-ray discs are in 7.1. Seven speakers in one room is too many speakers, but hey, if people want it, they'll but it.
