I don't use a home stereo system, because all of my music is on my computer. Champ, your in luck. I just purchased a surroud speaker set for my garage. I was thinking about a full stereo but came across these speakers at my local computer shop. I have pluged them into the audio on my computer. The sound that emits from my shed is of unbelievable quality & clarity. As for the loudness, the sub has adjustment for thump & volume - incredible. All my mates are blown away, the brand is AVLABS. The best part - they cost $75.00 Australian. BOSE........IT'S THE BEST THERE IS. Onyko HTs790 7.1 surround home theater. It is good and bassy and can handle volume. It is 100 watts per channel to every speaker. ( continuous ) It is now on sale at Curcuit city for 419.00 otherwise it runs close to 500.00 Go for it. The sub wolfer has a true bass sound, not some humm or boom. It is a nice Sub. Stay away from Bose, they have declined in performance through the years and are very overpriced for what you get. believe me, I used to buy nothing but bose since the 70,s. You don't want them for this. I had an old set of pioneer cs 922 speakers and old sansui amp that weighed a ton. and an eq. Tv was never more present than that.
