The best advice I can give anyone visiting England and Europe is LEAVE YOUR ELECTRONICS AT HOME!!.. They don't work there! You might be able to get a power converter but why chance it? Most hotels have an alarm clock in every room. If they don't, call for a wake-up call. No, you will burn the clock, so no, it will not keep the right time. UK and most of Europe uses 240 V. The UK uses 240 volts output. There might be a switch on the back - sometimes there is - or you might be able to find a 'Universal Adaptor' that should prevent any overloads.
It might not be good for the long term health of the radio to run it at a voltage it was not designed for.
