suround sound isnt playin my freeview. the freeview is conected only by scart. it plays only tv. wot
my surround sound dosnt play my freeview wich is only conected to the tv by scart. there was a lead that came with the freeview and ive pluged the lead from the freeview into the dvd player - suround sound. there is still no sound. i have also pluged the lead into the aerial in the back of the tv from the freeview and tried scanning for the freeview but i cant find the freeview and still no sound. so all i have is the normal tv sound. how can i make it play me freeview thru suround?

the scart from your freeview to TV transmits sound and picture.
You need to connect a OPTICAL or COMPONENT cable, preferably optical from freeview box to surround sound amp/DVD player.(Im asuming you have a all in one surround sound system which has amp and DVD player in one box).Leave the scart attached to the TV, but when using surround sound check that the sound doesn't come from TV anymore(if it does, just turn it down completly.you should then only hear the surround sound).
You can get an optical cable for about￡10+ depending on what performance you want. If you do have an all in one unit don't worry too much about spending a great deal. Any optical cable will sound better than a scart.
Have fun! OPTICAL CABLE!!!! it might be your freeview box does not support it?
