Xbox 360 display resolution question...?
- there is quite a bit of discussion about the latest 360 dashboard upgrade which allowed for 1080p through the VGA cable and that it wasn't fully tested before release (can you imagine MS releasing software before it's done?)
Here's a few links that may help a bit. You'll have to read through the comments to elicit the few helpful nuggets of info. Here's one guy that claims to have successfully made this work:

Good luck with this. I'm hoping that MS will get their act together and just release an HDMI add-on soon. Which type of connection are you using. Perhaps component video will pass that level of resolution, but you may need to just use HDMI connection to realize full 1080p resolution. If you cannot get it to work, the 1080p is not that noticeable unless you have a TV larger than 42".
