Widescreen TV question.?
Has anyone had this happen. I've owned my widescreen TV for over two years, and three times in that span, I have been watching cable TV in "normal" mode, and the screen has "blinked" over into wide mode, and back to normal mode, without me touching anything. Is this just a random signal that came through my cable connection, or what would cause this? It isn't a regular thing, but it's kind of freaky when it happens.

I have had this happen once or twice with my Sony HDTV. I attribute it to a glitch in the signal transmitted from the source. Nothing to worry about. Our Wide screen (RCA 64in) hasn't blinked back and forth it just shuts completely off. It is still under warranty and they are having trouble finding out what is causing this. The problem may be a defect in your T.V. Hope this helps. This is a duplicated question !!!!!! I had this happend to me recently. It only happened to me on the CW-HD (was WB) Channel. I was watching Smallville or Supernatural. Normally its full Widescreen (no bars whatsoever). Then all the sudden it had sidebars (like 4:3 mode) & horizontal bars (like letterbox), it eventually went back to full Widescreen.
I am assuming it was a network issue. If it where a cable box signal issue all channels would be affected.
I have a Sony 55" Widescreen LCD.
