Why don't my 5.1 surround sound speakers work?
I bought and installed a new 7.1 capable sound card and set it up for my new 5.1 speakers. I made sure all of the settings were set up correctly, but sound still only comes from the front left, front right, and sub. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to disable my on board audio?
Answer:
if all the chords are put in correctly, check the configuration... usually in the settings of the speaker you will find a settings change for all speakers... as in the DB levels... maybe one of them is set low...
Also, check the front panel display... it shud show all speakers on the display, which means all should be active
