Why are monster cables better than other brands?
"Esoteric" cables are snake oil & the mfgrs. prove it by selling several cables within their own brand that each have a specific sound. The cable should not have a "sound". It should not alter the signal in any way. A few months ago I got a new DVD player/recorder, and did a direct comparison using the cables that came with the player and a set of Monster cables I borrowed from a friend. We could detect no significant difference between the two. My friend was amazed, but then rationalized this by concluding that the cables that came with my DVD machine (a basic Panasonic model) must have be of unusually high quality (ha!) Forgive me for this outburst ahead of time but -
MONSTER CABLE BRAND is a rip-off!!! It is TRUE that they offer a FAR BETTER cable than what comes FREE with most electronics...But they're CHARGING way TOO much!
All MULTI-STANDED BRAIDED COPPER is a TERRIBLE thing to use for SPEAKER WIRE or INTERCONNECTS...Try using SOLID-CONDUCTOR wire instead...Use ELECTRICAL WIRE for SPEAKER WIRE and MODIFIED RG6 for your INTERCONNECTS.
