PLAAAASSSMMAAAA HDTV is way better. You have to be very careful with a plasma. They do not last as long as HDTV and are very temperature sensitive. If they get to hot, they ruin. You cannot out them in a home near a fireplace. If the room gets to cold, the plasma will also ruin. By next year a new t.v. will be out that has a laser picture. These are supposed to be awesome and will be half the price of plasma. hd is way better. my dad got an hd tv and it is awesome These are actually completely different issues, which do not contradict each other.
