Okay, honestly, go and listen to some demo rooms and you should just pick the ones that sound best to YOU. Bose is not even close to the best speaker, it is all marketing. In most A/V Retailers, you can choose between 5 or 6 different sets of surround systems by flipping a switch. You will never see a Bose system set up this way, they will not allow it. Reason being - Bose sucks. Ask ANYONE in the A/V industry that is not trying to sell you Bose. The only thing that Bose ever engineered correctly is their Wave Radio. Trust me. Bose and Monster Cable are both companies that are manufacturing decent to below par products and sell them at ridiculous prices because of their unbelieveable marketing techniques. I will give them that, the first time I saw a Monster Cable presentation at CEDIA 2005, I was ready with my credit card. Until our head engineer called me an idiot and educated me on Bose and Monster. Marketing geniuses, engineering novices. Good luck. Don't listen to these other yahoos. It depends on how much you are willing to spend. If you are looking for something cheaper Polk Audio, Infinity, Klipsch, Boston Acoustics those can be found at local retail stores like best buy and circuit city. Just add .com after those manufactures I mentioned above and find a dealer and see for your self just because they cost more dosent always mean its better who knows you may like the sound out of some $500 Polks vs. the $10,000 KEFs bose are not worth what they charge BOSE stands for Buy Other Speaker Equipment.
