Amit: Most in this forum live in the USA, with a smattering of Canadians and Brits, and have no knowledge what is available in India. As a matter of fact, I'd bet 50% here couldn't find India on a world map, if it wasn't labeled, much less do a dollar/rupee conversion! LOL.

Click on India and post there, where you'l be communicating with people who actually live there and have local knowledge that could help. Check for BOSE. Its the best. But if it doesnt suits your budget then also try Sony , Pioneer, JBL.
Also one more important point.IF you are mainly going to use them for music, consider Tower speakers.The quality they provide simply surpasses satellites. But if you are a movie buff, you will need to buy a subwoofer along with the towers to fill in the base. Forget the best home theatre systems ranges between Rs. 25-30,000/- I have a Jamo A 102 HCS 11 system. it didnt cost me much, but im very very impressed with the clarity and the quality of the system. Its got a HDMI out as well, and couple of other inouts/outputs to very well suit your need. The speakers looks small, just like Bose, but is made in much better quality and is a quite powerful stuff.

Buy a creative 5.1 channel speaker system and connect it to your DVD player, im sure it would work better than the most home theater systems and it would cost like 5000 Rs. if u still want to spend 25000 - 30 000 then go for a creative 7.1 channel wire less speaker set. Hey, Go for Sony, there are several models in it. choose the best one that suits your hall and pocket. search in www.sony.co.in
