When will the 1080p Plasma TV's be available in the big box stores ?

Anytime now, if they haven't already unless LCD 1080p

squashes any chance for plasma to gain any new popularity..

_ Best Buy and Future Shop both carry them. Now. Why would you buy a TV when projectors are far superior? They are and have been available. It is the matter of which you have to pay your broadcast company to send the signal fo you to recieve it. You know, the digital cable and the H.D. You could get something better with less money, a larger screen, and a better standard picture if you go with a DLP, rear projection. Uusually the plasmas don't have a good picture unless you have the HD hook up. Any hook up with HD gives you a fine picture but you want something that has a good picture without the High Def, not all channells come in Hig Def. So I got the best, in my opinion, for as cheap as I could and we absoultly love this TV. You cannot tell that it is not a Plasma. It is the rear projector 62 inch DLP from Toshiba, for 2000.00 It has an excellent pic as standard and high def blows us away. Plus no worries with that plasma burn or leakage from the gas that gives that plasma pic. Toshiba, 62 inch model nubber ending in 196. Do your research before buying your TV.Don't go with those pictures at the store, they are all hooked up to the same line. hey, if you are talking about a smaller Tv, Walmart has those plasmas you are interested in. I think I saw a 36 or 42 inch. Don't get Hitachi, Samsung makes a beautiful picture on plasmas and Dlps too. nearly every electronic store besides radio shack should carry them.
