When connecting a s-video cable, do I also connect the yellow RCA cable too?
I just bought a s-video connector for my xbox. It has the s-video connector as well as the yellow (for video), and white and red (for audio) RCA cables. In order to get sound, I have to plug the white and red RCA cables in. What I was wondering is if I connect both the s-video and yellow RCA connector at the same time or just he s-video cable only? Thanks.

No the S-video cable replace the yellow rca cable Yes..
You need to connect both cables.
S-Video is not a standard that supports Audio. You need a seperate audio connection. You don't need the yellow cable. The yellow cable is usually used for composite video. You do need the white and red for analog audio. if u have s video in tv then use it s video gives a better quality of picture, u'll have to use s video cable of course . if u have rca (yelllow) in ur tv ans svideo in ur xbox hopefully u alredy have an adapter and then u'll have to use the svideo from xbox to adapter, then rca from adapter to the yellow connection in ur tv
