What is a good home theatre system?

well it depends on what you define is "good". Pioneer systems are generaly good, DONT buy bose, they really arn't good and are expense and not worth the money (i speak from experience). What i define as a good system is a pioneer elite VSX82TXS ($1200.00), 2 definiteve tech bipolor 7600 tower speakers (599.99 each) and a definiteve tech pro cinima 60 system (599.99). However you can read all the reviews you want, get a million answers from yahoo! answers but it will all come down to how any system sounds to YOU. Just because my system sounds good to me doesn't mean it will sound good to you. I woudl sugest you go to a best buy with a magnolia home theator center in it, and they can demo different recivers and speakers for you, you can even bring your own cd/dvd's. Thats what I did. I would also recomend you stay away from tweeter as they are lieing bastards! Also whats good about the pioneer elite recivers is they come with a microphone and they automaticly adjust to sound the best give the acustics of your room, as well as having hdmi, composit, component, and direct ipod control. What a goob. Bose is great but few people find the slight difference worth the large price. Pioneer, Sony, Panasonic,...all major brands are good now days. Obviously the more wattage you have, generally, you'll have louder less distorted sound if you really wanna feel those action scenes. I am partial to Sony. Ive installed several systems and I think Sony is probably the best for your money. You can listen to most these systems in department stores so you should just go have a listen to a few and see what sounds good to you. I would recommend SONY! Forget sony, panasonic, samsung, lg or any bullshit.
BOSE every1 is crazy about it but do they mention the wattsor rms on their systems?.
They charge more just because of their market value.

so go for YAMAHA HOME THEATRE.
Be it speakers, reciversa/v, dvd mixers etc.
