What do i need to complete my HD setup, and is afforadable?
I have a 26" LG LCD HDTV and a XBOX 360 and i wouls like to get some HD surround sound speakers and watch DVD's in HD quality, what should i get that is not thousands of dollars?

Wait a few weeks and you can buy the HD-DVD add-on for the XBox 360, which at $200 will be a very affordable way to start watching high-definition discs (HD-DVDs).
Note that regular DVD's are not HD-quality, though you can buy upconverting players that will make them look better on HDTV's. I presume that, like standalone HD-DVD players, the XBox 360 HD-DVD add-on will be capable of upconverting.
As for surround sound, I can't single out a specific brand, but you'll want to look into receivers with HDMI inputs for the best quality--or at the very least, digital inputs and 5.1 outputs. XBOX is coming up with a new HD DVD drive that is an ad on to your XBOX 360 System. So I would wait for that. I dunno how much it is going to be, but I saw the demo of it and it is kewl!!
Then all you need is to save up for a surround sound system. Or how about looking for a Home Theatre in a Box, they are getting to be pretty good for the price you are paying. most people forget that not only do you get a amazing picture in HD BUT 5.1 SURROUND is being broadcast at the same time LG makes afew home theater packages for around 350-500 you don't have to stick to same surround as your TV but sometimes the remotes work together The best way to go would be to buy a HTIB (Home Theater in a Box). It has everything you need to get started , and usually easy to set up. But to get surround sound what you need is a surround sound receiver and at least five speakers plus a subwoofer.
