What do I need to look for in a home theater system to run these things....?

1080p plasma HDTV, XBOX 360, HD DVD player. With 5.1 surround or possibly better. I just want to know what to look for in a reciever or CD player that will support these in a surround sound atomsphere. What HDMI ports will I need?

1.HDMI 1.3 Connections at lest 2 in 1 out

2.optical inputs at least 2 in 1 out

3. Dolby Pro Logic IIx would be great but plain old Dolby Digital would be fine

4.multi in, witch is used for SACD

5. pre out for external power amp (you cant have to much power)

6.component video in at least 3 and 1 out

7. almost forgot, DTS is great for movies

8.a must have is 7.1 surround sound.

I've got a JAMO A 102 Home theatre system and i can connect all of the above. what you need to check is if the Home theatre amp has

1. HDMI input and output

2. Audio Video (AV connections)

3. Optical IN

4. RGB connections.

If all of the above are there, all your systems can be connected. Hi. The Denon AVR-3808C1 Receiver has 3 independent Power Transformers and 6 independent Power Supply Circuits instead of the one that is in other Receivers. Most simple receivers will at least do 5.1 audio and have enough hook-ups to accomidate your set-up. A good receiver will have HDMI hook-ups for better sound.
