VHS tape snapped...any hope?

While rewinding, my VHS tape snapped....I was stupid enough to make it worst by joining it again with sticky tape....and when I tried to play it, the tape got stuck inside the VCR...and I took it out....Any hope for it? It's my kindergarten tape and hopefully there's some professional stores out there which can save it and make it into DVD...

There is hope. This is something that I used to do (convert from VHS -> DVD). I don't do it anymore, but place an add in your local paper and I am positive that someone in your local area can do this for you. Or ask people at work, that is how I used to get business. Or if this is something that interests you, why not spend the $100 (approximate) to buy the software and do it yourself. Plus you can get your money back by charging people to convert to DVD as well. You never know you could make a chunk of change to convert your own tape.

As for the break... if it is at the beginning (hope so) or in a place that can be deleted (next best place) you can take the VHS tape apart and reconnect the tape at the broken end to the other spindle. And the third option is to use the sticky tape again, but add a tiny drop of super glue to each side of the tape to secure it. Plus a tiny drop of super glue to the movie tape at the break to secure it to the sticky tape. Yes buy a DVR. There are only two ways to sort this out. Either find an elusive splicing kit or take the tape to a studio and ask someone to repair it. I HAVE USED MYLAR TAPE TO REPAIR THEM. GOOD LUCK IN FINDING IT TODAY. DON'T KNOW IF IT IS STILL AVAILABLE. yeah there is hope but the stretched and broken parts will be lost more than likely or be very very hard to see.
