Tips on a Home Entertainment system?
I want to set up a lcd projector and have it broadcast onto a movie theatre type screen. Where can I get the screen, and about how much would the screen and projector cost me?

_ Most places that sell projectors also sell screens, so you should be able to one-stop-shop. A good home theater projector will cost at least $1000, and screens run from $250 to $1000 depending on size and quality.
A good home theater projector company is Optoma. They make a wide range of products with a wide range of prices. As far as I know, the most-used screen is a company called DA-Lite. Screens come in many different types such as front projection and rear projection. They also make screens that are made to put speakers behind them, so they are perforated (spelling?). There are also different brightnesses to screens, usually the brighter the better they look and the more they cost. I think the best way to find good prices and/or products is to use www.froogle.com. just put in "home theater projectors" or "optoma projectors" and "DA-Lite screens" and you'll get a wide selection of prices and products.

Projectors can be quite pricey starting at$500 for the cheapest ones that you wont even be able to see if you have any lights on. Anything half decent will be at least $2000.
As for the screen you can buy just the material on ebay for $50 and make your own frame for it. a pull down screen will start at $300 and motorized ones start getting quite pricey. Hit projector websites like www.projectorcentral.com for your projector needs. (Take a close look at the Sanyo PLV-Z5. Its smoking!)
Buying a screen can be outrageously expensive, but its really simple (and inexpensive) to built your own. Get your directions from a DIY site. Go to E-bay and buy the screen material once you decide what image size you need for less than $30. I just made one that would have cost me $399 for about $20 in parts from Lowe's. Total cost: less than $60 and about a half hour of labor.
